Las Vegas’ Boulder City Motocross to Showcase
National Track with After Hours Motocross Series
Las Vegas, NV – June
21, 2010 – Las Vegas serves as the backdrop for
the Boulder City Motocross Track (BCMX) as
practice commences under the stadium lights
three nights each week.
The national
track that opened in December 2007 has hosted a
collection of national and regional races with
the track’s general manager, Bryce Davis, having
his sights set on hosting an international race
in the near future as it develops into a premier
track.
BCMX’s five tracks
composed of high quality soil cater to riders
and teams.
Equipped with
RV hook-ups, picnic areas, an on-site snack bar,
camping, fire pits, on-site paramedics,
restrooms, and overnight parking, the 55-acre
facility has an open layout that is conducive to
easy navigation and viewing of races.
On the forefront of
the BCMX agenda is to provide continual high
levels of riding on its national track which was
a catalyst in attracting accomplished
professional motocross rider Carey Hart to
station his Hart and Huntington motocross team’s
private training at the facility.
BCMX will
continue building facility structures as it
looks to contend with any premier track in the
country.
Having the
most consistently dry weather in the nation
allows BCMX to have quality control of its track
conditions throughout the year. “What makes our
track unique is our location.
Visitors have
the best of both worlds.
We are in the
entertainment capital of the world and we offer
track riding until midnight,” says Davis.
Immediately, BCMX
announces its inaugural Sully’s Cycle Shop After
Hours Motocross Series presented by Half Shell
Seafood & Gaming that will begin on July 9.
The six-round
series culminates with its final race on
September 24 followed by an awards event to be
held at Half Shell Seafood & Gaming for the
series points champions on October 1st.
While Las Vegas
continues to attract visitors, people now have
another recreation available to them.
BCMX provides
top-notch outdoor recreation through an activity
that families can enjoy together.
“Our number
one goal is to give our riders, their crews, and
their families a first class track.
Everyone in
all age groups can enjoy riding and we even
accommodate quads at our track,” says Davis.
With plans to
broadcast all BCMX races, the track will become
one of the best known and most visible venues in
the world.
Paralleling
the bright lights of Las Vegas, the stadium
lights of BCMX generate a glow around the
facility. A one-of-a-kind pairing, Davis sees
his prime location as a key in contributing to
Las Vegas’ visitor count.
As motocross
is one of the largest followed and practiced
motorsports in the world, it is a sport that
encompasses a wide range of ages and abilities.
“Our location is special,” concludes Davis,
“There’s nowhere else in the world where you can
couple a day of out on the Las Vegas Strip with
a night of motocross riding under the lights.”
